Last week we did a Video HUG webinar with Jean Merlain from Wistia  and I can’t stop thinking about his line:
“Your webinar strategy IS your video strategy.”

Why I love this (and why it matters):

  • Webinars are content engines:
    The live event is just the start. One session can fuel clips, blogs, emails, social posts, even a podcast.
  • Most views happen later:
    Engagement compounds 3–4 months after the event, so planning for repurposing isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s the whole game.
  • Data > gut feel:
    With Wistia + HubSpot, every Q&A, poll, and chat becomes a workflow trigger so follow-up is timely and personal.
  • Do less, get more:
    Record once → trim → spin out shorts → add captions → publish everywhere.
  • Be human:
    In a world where AI can generate anything, authenticity and real faces win attention and trust.

It works well for small businesses. I have one Client who figured out how
to create YouTube videos and they are her primary lead intake method
nowadays.
