How do you structure blog posts to guide readers toward a decision?

I’m currently studying Content Marketing at HubSpot Academy.

I understand that the best blog posts follow a clear structure that guides the reader through their journey and helps them make decisions with confidence.

Could you share a simple blog post outline or framework that works well for engagement and sharing?

@Ggomessilvapi welcome to content marketing and the HubSpot Community! This is a great way to (hopefully) gather many ideas to test. Becasue to me, that's the goal. Test briefs, layouts, and subjects to see how your audinece interacts.

Here's an example of a blog brief template that helps create engaging content.

Title Tag: [use title tag if within character limits]
Meta Description: [write meta description here within 160 characters]
Alt text (Alternative Text) of blog title:
Topical Cluster or category of blog (General): [provide up to 3 - 5 only]

Audience:

Mid-CTA:

End CTA:

Creative Copy:

H1: Blog Title
Subhead - brief 1-2 sentence summary of the blog

Intro

H2 - Blog section 1

H2 - Blog section 2

H2 - Blog section 1

(Add H3s or H4s as needed)

Conclusion

Did my answer help? Please "mark as a solution" to help others find answers. Plus I really appreciate it!

I use all tools available to help answer questions. This may include other Community posts, search engines, and generative AI search tools. But I always use my experience and my own brain to make it human.

Hi @Ggomessilvapi  — great question, and nice to hear you’re diving into Content Marketing at HubSpot Academy :拍手する手:

I’ll bring a few folks into the conversation who can give ideas: @danmoyle @GiantFocal @Karushna1 — do you have a go-to blog post framework or outline that you’ve seen work well for guiding readers from awareness to decision?

Would love to hear what’s worked in practice for others.

Best, Victor
