Is using the wildcard p_* supported for objectTypes in App Cards configuration?

Hello,

I have a question regarding the objectTypes property in the App Cards configuration file (*-hsmeta.json).

According to the documentation, custom objects should be specified using the format p_objectName. However, I tested using p_* as a value, and I found that the App Card was successfully displayed on all custom objects in the account where the app was installed.

Could you please clarify the following?

  1. Is this an officially supported method?

  2. Is there any risk that this wildcard behavior will be disabled or deprecated in the future?

I want to ensure my implementation is stable and won't break with future updates.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey @竹上克司 and a big warm welcome from the HubSpot Community! 🧡

Great question, thanks for asking!

I am happy to confirm that yes, the p_* wildcard is officially supported for targeting all custom objects within your account:

“The custom object wildcard p_* can be used in place of p_objectName to target all custom objects in your HubSpot account.”

This is a documented feature in the link you shared "App cards reference", so you can be confident that your implementation using p_* is both valid and fully supported.

Since it’s mentioned in the official documentation, you can safely use it in production environments.

Let me know if you have any more questions, I’m happy to help!

Have a wonderful weekend @竹上克司! :太陽の顔:
